Here in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire we are no different, in fact we are fortunate enough to have a number of superb breweries and bars right on our doorstep. One of which is the Lymestone Brewery in Stone where myself and my trip buddy (we didn’t have to hold hands) were able to spend half a day learning about the brewing process with Brad (and Sparky the dog).

  • Virtual Brewery Vote 2: Hops and Strength

    As you know the votes have been counted and IPA was by far the winner with 36.5% of the vote. Golden, Honey, Smoked Porter and a Strong Old ale were all joint 2nd place with 11.5% of the vote. Now that's been decided, it's on to the finer detail. This week we're going to choose the strength and the hops as this will decide the kind of IPA that is to be brewed.
