Triple fff are all about beer – so let’s start there before talking about ourselves!
The style of our beers profiles a full mouth feel with great body, structure and a long taste - especially so for the relatively low ABVs of the beer. We believe the true skill in brewing is being able to balance all these characteristics whilst keeping the strength sensible!
We are always trying new recipes on our smaller brewing kit, but we never mess with the integrity of the core range that we brew on our 50 barrel equipment. This consistency and reliability has put us in a great position, not just in the many awards we have won regionally and nationally at CAMRA and SIBA since our first brew in 1997 but also in over 200 pubs which served our beer in 2024.
The ‘fff’s in the name Triple fff come from “fortissimo” - the musical instruction for loud! This is how our founder Graham Trott and his business partner Xen Gladstone like their music.
Thus, many of our beers have a musical theme – Moondance, Comfortably Numb, Dazed and Confused, Sundown, Nothing Else Matters, Respect, Pressed Rat & Warthog, We’ll Meet Again, Fool’s Gold, Carry On, Stairway, Satisfaction, Jagged Little Pilsner, Goldfffinger, Snow Blind and Little Red Rooster to name but a few.
We’re based in the beautiful heart of Hampshire, next to a heritage steam railway line in a historic hop growing area. You are always welcome to enjoy a beer at our fffabulous Tap Room here at the brewery!
