A well deserved beer

A well-deserved beer!

With a warehouse full of thousands of beers from over 100 independent breweries, it would be very selfish if we kept that all to ourselves. We love people coming to visit and regularly open our doors for locals to come and have a mooch around.

Recently, we’ve been delighted to welcome 2 local running clubs to pop in and enjoy a cold one after they’ve been running through our lovely local parkland.

We’ve got lots of space so they can ditch the wheels, run off road through the 2 countryside parks and then come back to the warehouse for beers or just a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

Our General Manager Chris is a keen runner and training for his first marathon so he’s great for suggesting local routes.

If you’re a member of a local running club and you fancy an ‘away run’ with a beer afterwards, drop us a line and we’ll sort something out. If being part of an organised run sounds like something you’d like to be part of, there’s details of our local groups below. They’re a very friendly bunch!

Audley Striders

·        Setup and run completely by volunteers for the benefit of its members and the community

·        Raise lots of money for local charities

·        Runners of all abilities are welcome, we run 2 couch to 5k courses a year

·        Also a large social aspect to the club

·        Recently launched a successful and very popular ‘walking club’

·        In summer we do ‘away runs’ where on the light nights we explore places to run outside of our immediate area, this is where Best of British Beer come in, allowing runners to meet safely here and stick around for a beer afterwards

North Staffs Jogging Chat

·        Originally just setup as a group on Facebook for people to share stories and advice etc

·        But one of the members the setup a run on the last Sunday of every month for anyone to come along (all abilities) to run, chat and meet new people, gone from a handful of people on        the  first one to now getting 30+ people every time, people bring cakes afterwards for everyone to share (the dogs even get their own special treats!)

·        The runners need a safe meeting place with lots of car parking space so Best of British Beer offered their services and a place to stay for a drink afterwards, they love it so much they approached us a few months later to see if they could visit again to host a awards morning to celebrate the year anniversary of the run being setup.
