Beer Delivery and Shipping Policy

Your Beer Delivery: What you can expect from us

We have a range of different delivery methods to suit you. You can choose Standard, Express or Saturday delivery to any mainland UK address or Click & Collect if you are local to Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Our delivery partner is DHL but occasionally use other couriers. We do our upmost to deliver your beer as soon as possible so we start preparing and shipping your order ASAP (usually within 1 working day). We also offer an Express service where we will ship the very same day, however, your order must be placed before 5pm, if you do miss this 5pm cut off we'll dispatch the very next day (Mon-Fri only, excludes bank holidays) Even on our standard delivery, all orders are sent on a overnight, next working day service to get to you as quickly as possible.

We ship and deliver standard delivery orders Monday to Friday only (excluding bank holidays) so if you place a next day order on a Saturday or Sunday it will be processed and shipped on the next working day.

UK Mainland Beer Delivery Costs and Times

Standard: £5.95 – delivered within 2-3 working days, Monday to Friday

Express: £8.95 – orders placed BEFORE 5PM are delivered within 1-2 working days, Monday to Friday.  Orders placed before 5pm on Friday will be delivered the following Monday**

Saturday: £9.95 – orders must be ordered BEFORE 5PM on Friday.  Any orders placed earlier in the week will be despatched on the following Friday**

**Express & Saturday delivery is subject to stock, courier availability and area.  Please note, our delivery service may be affected over bank holidays and during peak sale periods. 

If there is no one at home, the courier will do their best to leave it somewhere safe, hidden & secure, but this isn't always possible at all properties and the parcel may be left on the doorstep, sadly doorstep thefts are becoming more common so if this is the case and no one will be home, we strongly recommend considering an alternative delivery address such as your workplace or a friend/relative's address.

Free Delivery

We offer FREE UK Mainland delivery on all orders where more than one case or item is ordered*, to qualify, simply add a second item to your basket and standard delivery is free.  Express and Saturday options are also available at a reduced rate.

*Please note the Beery Treat Box doesn't count as a second item for free shipping as it is only £7.95 and you get a £5 voucher for the next purchase

Highlands & Islands Deliveries & Costs

Some locations in Scotland or areas such as the Isle of Wight etc are classed as 'Highlands & Islands' and incur additional charges either via our usual courier DHL or Royal Mail depending on the area or postcode. This will be calculated based on your postcode and shown at the checkout, please note we have no control over these charges, but only charge enough to cover our costs and make no additional profit. Sadly, as a small employee owned business we cannot afford to subsidise/absorb these additional costs like some much larger companies or conglomerates do.

90% of these orders are shipping via Royal Mail (meaning your clickable tracking link in your shipping email will not work (as it's an automated email that our system sends when we process your order), but you can track them manually on the Royal Mail tracking page using the tracking number provided in your shipping email.

Delaying Shipping

We appreciate a lot of people are really organised and want to place an order for a special occasion but don't want it delivered until much closer to the occasion, so we offer an option to delay delivery on all our gift product for £1.50. Just choose the delayed date option and specify your preferred date and we will process your order off our system but then hold it back and ship it 2 days before the date you have requested to ensure you always get the freshest stock.

Please note, Standard deliveries will only be made Monday to Friday, and if you specify a date that's at the weekend then we will either deliver on the Friday before or the following Monday.  If you'd like your order delayed to be delivered on a Saturday, you will also need to select the Saturday delivery option as well as selecting your delayed date (if this is more than the current week). We also cannot deliver on bank holidays, so if you happen to select a bank holiday, we will send the item to arrive a day or two before, so it doesn't miss the occasion.

Delays, Damages & Losses

We rely on couriers to complete the final part of our beer journey. There is no courier in existence with a 100% delivery success rate and unfortunately delays, losses and damages do occur, especially as most of our beer, lagers and ciders are in glass bottles. Even so, we have a fantastic success rate of over 95% and we work closely with several fantastic packaging companies to ensure your order has the best chance of arriving to you in pristine condition.

My order hasn't arrived, is delayed or is damaged what do I do? (and our promise to you)

Just contact our Customer Team – we are here Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm so if you have missing or damaged items just get in touch and we will sort it, That's a promise! Please give us the chance to rectify any issues before giving us any negative feedback on Feefo, Google, Trustpilot etc. This is very damaging for small businesses like ourselves who want to give our customers the smoothest/hassle free experience we can.

Please don't attempt to contact DHL yourself, your first step should always be to contact us at [email protected] or by calling us on 01782 405472 and we'll contact them on your behalf to resolve any problems. We pride ourselves on resolving issues fuss and hassle free and in the event of missing or damaged items we will send any replacements at the earliest opportunity!  Please note, if you email us outside of our standard working hours, we will get in contact the next working day.

Multiple Item Deliveries

We always aim to deliver all your parcels at the same time, should you select to delay one item on your order but not anything else, we will hold the full order back until it is ready to be dispatched in a single shipment. If you do need items to arrive at different times, we suggest that you place individual orders for each item.

There are situations out of our control where multiple parcel shipments do unfortunately get separated during transit through the busy courier network and will result in a delay and likely delivered the following working day. If you happen to be missing a parcel from a multiple item order you have placed, give it an extra day and it'll more than likely arrive next working day. If this doesn't happen or your order is time sensitive, just get in touch and we'll investigate it for you.  Please don't attempt to contact DHL yourself as we'll do this on your behalf.

Packaging and Gift Notes

We have a variety of curated beer collections and some of them are in gift packaging. As a rule of thumb, a curated collection such as 12 x IPA's will arrive in a branded Best of British Beer transit box and ‘a ready to give’ gift, such as the Pub at Home or Craft Beer Box Set, will be in plain packaging to protect the contents during transit. If this is important to you, please drop us a line when you place the order, and we will try our very best to accommodate your request with the packaging we have available.

You can add a free gift message at the basket (underneath the products, if you get to the checkout, you've gone too far and need to go back to your basket) and we will print this on a branded and colourful A5 sized card and pop it in the box.

EU & Worldwide Deliveries

Sadly, we are unable to make deliveries outside of the UK.
