Monty's Brewery Sunshine Ale
Monty's Brewery, the first brewery in Montgomeryshire since the Eagle Brewery closed in the 1980s, is proud to present their Sunshine Ale. The owner and head brewer, Pam Honeyman, is one of only a handful of brewsters (female brewers) in the UK. Monty's Brewery's aim is to provide quality real ales and excellent service to all their customers and has already won numerous regional SIBA awards.
Award-Winning Golden Ale
One of Will's own particular favourites, this multi-award-winning golden, hoppy floral ale has a pleasant dry finish. Ideal with homemade pizza, Sunshine Ale is a testament to the craft of brewing. It has been featured in “Boutique Beers- 500 of the World’s finest Craft Brews” by Ben McFarland and has been praised for its sunny orange label, grassy, fruity aroma, and light, crisp flavour by the Independent Newspaper’s Top 50 Beers.
Accolades and Pairings
Not only does Sunshine Ale have a great taste, but it also has the "Enough Hit and Drive to go with a great Steak" according to Nigel Barden, Food Expert on BBC Radio 2 in 2012. It was a runner-up in the category - Champion Beer of Wales 2011, won Wales True Taste Silver 2011, Great Taste Award Two Gold Stars 2011, SIBA Wales and West Silver Regional Winner in Category 2011, and Darlington CAMRA 'Spring Thing Festival' Champion Beer 2009.
