Titanic brewery was established in Burslem, Stoke on Trent, in the 1980’s with the goal of producing great beer.
Burslem was the Mothertown of the Potteries and produced many great names who started their careers amongst the bottle kilns and smoke. Wedgwood, Doulton and Clarice Cliff all served their apprenticeships here, dedicating themselves to creating the world's finest china. In nearby Etruria, Edward John Smith was born. It is in honour of him that the brewery was named. Captain Smith went on to be Captain of the famous ocean liner - The Titanic.
